Ward Thomas to perform four times at this weekend’s C2C Festival – including an arena performance

Ward Thomas, the critically acclaimed UK country duo, have now been confirmed for a slot on the new Satellite Stage in the main arena at the upcomingC2C festival at the 02 Arena on March 7th/8th. This performance on the Sunday will be the band’s third across the weekend and will see them play between Kip Moore and Brantley Gilbert. They will also be appearing on the Brooklyn Bowl stage, as well as headlining Bob Harris’s Under The Apple Tree stage. Ward Thomas will be in fine company at C2C, with some of country music’s biggest names, including Lady Antebellum and Luke Bryan, as well as up and coming UK stars The Shires, Callaghan and Sasha McVeigh, set to play the festival.

Ward Thomas’s new, Radio 2 playlisted single, ‘Town Called Ugley’ is set to impact on March 2nd, coinciding with the release date of the re – packaged version of their debut album “From Where We Stand”, also out, both physically and digitally, on March 2nd. Ward Thomas will be in session for Radio 2’s Chris Evans’ breakfast show on March 6th, the day before C2C festival.

The re – packaged version of the album will feature extra songs, including a cover of Michael Jackson’s classic ‘Man In The Mirror’, ‘Who We Are’, a song written as an emotive tribute to their mother, as well as live versions of tracks recorded on last autumn’s UK tour.

In addition to their appearances at C2C, Ward Thomas are set for an 18 date UK & Eire tour in March and April, including a London date at Islington Assembly Hall on March 26th. The tour gets underway in Bristol on March 11th, and will see Ward Thomas playing in cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Aberdeen and Dublin, as well as the aforementioned London gig, their biggest headline show to date.

Finally, Ward Thomas have also announced the main support across the tour as Nashville based songstress Jessica Ridley. An impressive set of credentials that include: winning an ABC reality show called “The Big Time” – giving her the opportunity to open the 2nd night of the iHeartRadio Festival in front of 17,000 people; the release of her debut project “Fit To Be Tied” to glowing reviews; singles that have charted around the world; and opening for Luke Bryan have all set the stage for Ridley to step out in the UK for the first time.
