Billboard Chart Roundup – Week of August 29th, 2015

04-06-Feature-Luke-Bryan-hat-ftr

Luke Bryan takes over from Sam Hunt this week to absolutely dominate the country charts, starting with Hot Country Songs. No fewer than ten tracks from his brand new album ‘Kill The Lights’ have charted there (an album which incidentally takes #1 on Top Country Albums with ease), while a different nine (plus ‘Play It Again’) are present on Country Digital Songs. Three of his songs are charting on Country Streaming Songs and two are on Country Airplay (the current single ‘Strip It Down’ and the previous, ‘Kick The Dust Up’). If that weren’t enough, ‘Kill The Lights’ is followed by ‘Crash My Party’ and ‘Spring Break… Checkin’ Out’ on Top Country Albums. Phew! Of course, Sam Hunt’s ‘House Party’ is still dominating Hot Country Songs, Country Digital Songs and Country Streaming Songs, but I’m sure it won’t be long until Luke is instead. Meanwhile, Zac Brown band’s Motown-inspired ‘Loving You Easy’ is this week’s Country Airplay #1. Read on for the full details!
