To preview the upcoming Jess & The Bandits headlining UK tour (dates below), a number of the billed support acts have taken to filming videos of themselves covering the other artists’ songs. One of those is Liv Austen, who is due to play the London show at The Borderline on October 28th, and she covered a song from BCMA winners Luke & Mel, who are opening in Manchester at Gulliver’s on October 30th. We are excited to exclusively premiere Liv’s beautiful rendition of ‘Don’t Cry (Because It’s Over)’, in a simple video of her playing the keyboard in her London home.

“I was so honoured to be a guest at the In The Round night that Luke & Mel did with Gary Quinn at the Troubadour in London, and I loved covering this song,” Liv explained of her song pick. “It’s very moving and clearly personal to them.” She continued, “I am incredibly excited to be supporting [Jess and The Bandits] in London, I absolutely love their music and play their album on repeat constantly. It is also a big deal for me to finally be on stage at the Borderline, as I have so many great memories from that venue.”

And, she adds, “a special thank you to the ice cream van driver who helped me with the outro of the song of course. Perfect timing.”
