Bracknell Festival is delighted to announce that The Shires have been confirmed to headline this year’s Festival on Saturday 30th July in the beautiful grounds of South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell.
The groundswell of interest in country music in the UK is now officially unstoppable. One of the acts helping to make country cooler than ever on this side of the Atlantic aren’t from Tennessee or Texas, they’re from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. They’re all set to take their country-influenced music to the world. Step forward, The Shires!
The Shires have risen to prominence over the last two years with TV appearances on the Graham Norton Show, the BBC Music Awards, Festival appearances including Glastonbury 2015 and performances worldwide including a tour supporting The Corrs.
Their debut album Brave has received critical acclaim across the board. Bracknell Festival 2016 will be a full day of music entertainment from 12pm until 9pm, with a full line up of acts to be announced throughout the countdown to the Festival.
There will also be a whole host of children’s activities, a wide range of food stalls, drinks tents, a VIP area and more. Bracknell Festival guarantees to be a great day for all the family.
A limited number of Early Bird tickets will be on sale from Monday 22nd February. General sale from Monday 29th February.
