Blake Shelton Announces 2016 Tour Dates

Blake Shelton, the reigning five-time CMA Male Vocalist of the Year and coach of NBC’s hit show The Voice, will hit the road in February for his Blake Shelton presented by Gildan tour.

“Man, I’m just so excited about 2016,” says Blake. “We’ve got a new album coming and I can’t wait to get back out on the road and play some new music for my fans. As an artist, my favorite thing to do is go on the road and play shows. I’ve missed it, and it’s gonna be like old times. Blake Shelton ‘Gonna’ – Single Review

Well folks, Blake Shelton recently released a new single called “Gonna”. Now I should be upfront and say that I’m not a fan of Blake’s last few singles, and by last few, I mean the last two singles I really liked was “Honey Bee” and “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking”, although “Mine Would be You” and “Doing What She Likes” weren’t bad either. I have to admit, I find it extremely aggravating that Blake, who we all know has talent and the ability to release great songs, insists on releasing below average, substance-lacking songs. What’s up with that? I realize that he has a lot on his plate, trying to juggle coaching duties, acting as one of four coaches on the hit talent show The Voice, with a music career, but still, why make music if it’s just going to be bland and generic?

Billboard Chart Roundup – Week of July 11th, 2015

It’s Kacey Musgraves’ week as her sophomore album debuts at #1 on Top Country Albums with 54,000 copies sold (launching her at #3 on the Billboard 200), knocking the likes of Sam Hunt and Zac Brown Band further down the chart. The boost has pushed her lead single ‘Biscuits’ to #33 on Hot Country Songs while upcoming single ‘Dime Store Cowgirl’ has come in at #44. Meanwhile, leading that chart is, as usual, Little Big Town’s ‘Girl Crush’, a feat they have now managed for a whopping 10 weeks, while the track also takes Country Digital Songs and Country Streaming Songs, moving up to #8 on Country Airplay. The King of Country Airplay this week is Blake Shelton’s ‘Sangria’, just pipping Carrie Underwood to the post (although ‘Little Toy Guns’ did go #1 on Mediabase), while a new release comes from The Cadillac Three and new debuts are from Kenny Chesney and Cam.
