Jessi Alexander, Bobby Braddock, Lee Brice, Garth Brooks Entertain To Benefit Music Health Alliance

Tuesday night, Music City celebrated The First And The Worst from its talented creative community as hit-makers Jessi Alexander, Bobby Braddock and Lee Brice, along with special guest Sandy Knox, performed the very first and worst songs they have ever written, as well as their biggest hits, all to benefitMusic Health Alliance. Joining for the sold-out show was Garth Brooks, who stepped in for Chris Stapleton after an unforeseen scheduling conflict. The second annual event raised over $200,000 for the non-profit, representing more than half of its annual budget. Music Health Alliance has secured over $10 million dollars in life-changing healthcare resources and enabled access to doctors, medicine, health insurance and financial assistance for 4,100 music industry entrepreneurs and professionals in only three years.

Bobby Braddock Takes Us Back To The Golden Age

It was the moment. It came rather unexpectedly and if you weren’t paying close attention you might not have known what was coming. The singer only said these words. “I wrote this song with Curly Putnam.”

There may have been three other songwriters sitting around him, but it was clear to those listening on the radio who was holding court. Bobby Braddock, member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, was about to give a little history lesson during the SiriusXM Outlaw Country Annual Guitar Pull show recorded in Nashville during AmericanaFest. The show brought together guitarists Bobby Bare Jr. and Hayes Carll, singer Lee Ann Womack and Braddock.
