The dynamic entertainer will join Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton, Eric Church and Sam Hunt as part of the Friday night lineup. He’ll also jam with an all-star lineup for the Life & Songs of Kris Kristofferson tribute show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena March 16.

Country and southern rock music legend, Hank Williams Jr., and 2015’s most critically acclaimed country artist, Chris Stapleton, will join up for a co-headlining summer tour. The two music renegades will kick off their special limited run tour, produced by Live Nation, on August 5, 2016 at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla. The tour will visit 8 cities across the country with dates lined up in Houston, Austin, West Palm Beach, Detroit (Clarkston), Cleveland, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. First off, can we please just take a minute and thank God for Hank Williams Jr.? Hank Jr. has become the embodiment of the every day, working class man through his real and honest music. One of the things we fans love the most about Hank Jr. is the fact that he is brutally honest and tends to say the things the rest of us wish we could say, but are leery to do so. Another reason why we love the legend is the fact that we can always rely on him to produce great, relatable music. You won’t see him chasing the current trends of mainstream country or trying to compete with the newbies, simply because he doesn’t have to, he is far above their league. In late 2015, the legend announced that he will be releasing his 37th studio album, It’s About Time, on January 15th, 2016. The record will be the first from Williams since joining his new label home, Nash Icon Records.

Three years after releasing Old School New Rules, Williams has dropped a brand new single and announced a new record, both the first song/record from Williams on his new label home, Nash Icon. The new record, It’s About Time, is set for release on January 15th, meanwhile Williams and Church debuted “Are You Ready For The Country” on the CMAs earlier in November. The single is pure Hank Jr. One thing I’ve always loved and admired about Hank Jr. is the fact that he’s never felt the need to change his music to follow the trends of the day. Williams has always stuck to what he knows, and ultimately, what his fans love.
