Jessi Alexander, Bobby Braddock, Lee Brice, Garth Brooks Entertain To Benefit Music Health Alliance

Tuesday night, Music City celebrated The First And The Worst from its talented creative community as hit-makers Jessi Alexander, Bobby Braddock and Lee Brice, along with special guest Sandy Knox, performed the very first and worst songs they have ever written, as well as their biggest hits, all to benefitMusic Health Alliance. Joining for the sold-out show was Garth Brooks, who stepped in for Chris Stapleton after an unforeseen scheduling conflict. The second annual event raised over $200,000 for the non-profit, representing more than half of its annual budget. Music Health Alliance has secured over $10 million dollars in life-changing healthcare resources and enabled access to doctors, medicine, health insurance and financial assistance for 4,100 music industry entrepreneurs and professionals in only three years.

The buzz surrounding the IndigO2 on the night of Friday, March 6th was undeniable. Filtering into the impressive theatre among thousands of queuing fans, artists and industry personnel, it seemed like everybody who was anybody was there (including Ben Earle of The Shires, who was sat in front of me and bombarded with plenty of fans looking to get pictures). The five mics and corresponding seats were lit up on stage, quiet and waiting, ready for the songwriters round of the year to welcome its talent and fascinating stories. And sure enough, a little after half past seven, Kix Brooks, Brandy Clark, Sam Palladio, Jessi Alexander and Jon Randall entered with their respective guitars and took their seats in front of the screaming 1700-strong crowd. It was a far cry from the previous year, which had seen only half of the venue full.
