First Listen: Dierks Bentley Shares Tracks Off BLACK in Short Film Series

Following this week’s announcement of his eighth studio album BLACK (Capitol Records Nashville), PLATINUM singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley exposes plans for a short film series based on several of the album’s songs and premiering today exclusively through Rolling Stone. Set to the track of “I’ll Be The Moon” (featuring Maren Morris), Bentley teams with longtime director Wes Edwards to bare the first listen of new music in Episode 1. The modern day film noir establishes a love triangle guided by the destructive power of steamy secrets. Also beginning today, iTunes will mirror the series by offering instant downloads of each episode’s featured track from BLACK.

Maren Morris @ The Borderline, London, UK | March 14, 2016 – Review

After the buzz and activity of C2C Festival, it shows dedication that so many fans and industry peers ventured out to London’s Borderline on Monday night to see Maren Morris play her first headlining show in the UK. Ever since last year’s post-C2C Sam Hunt show at the same venue, the event has had something of a who-knows-who-you-could meet kind of reputation, and the night didn’t disappoint, with the likes of songwriters Kate York (multiple cuts on Nashville) and Heather Morgan (Beat of The Music) in attendance.

Maren Morris To Release Debut Album ‘Hero’ June 3; SXSW Performances Planned

Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris is set to release, HERO, the Texas native’s first major label full length album on June 3. Morris co-wrote the songs that make-up HERO and shared the producing duties along with songwriter/producer busbee, who co-wrote “My Church” the debut hit song by Morris which made Country radio history the first week it hit the airwaves setting the record for the most first week stations at the single impact date for the Billboard Country Airplay chart and Country Aircheck’s Mediabase Chart with 107 first week Country radio chart reporting stations spinning the song. The previous record for a debut single was 99.

Country to Country (C2C) Festival 2016 | Day Two, London – Review

After the buzz of seeing Miranda Lambert for the first time on Friday, Saturday offered a country pop explosion in the form of Maddie & Tae, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town and Carrie Underwood, with High Valley and Maren Morris on the Yamaha Music Stage in between. Maddie & Tae kicked things off with a spirited rendition of ‘Right Here, Right Now’, which was later joined by their three singles to date, plus a couple of other album tracks and a cover of Loretta Lynn’s ‘You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man)’. I was truly impressed by that cover and by their performing skills in general – they have learned a lot in a short space of time and were incredibly polished, engaging, enthusiastic and crowd-pleasing. I’m really looking forward to seeing them again.

Maren Morris At Sea – The Buddy & Jim Show Recap

The day Maren Morris met Buddy Miller, she and her publisher were pitching songs for the television show “Nashville.” When Morris headed out to sea on the annual Cayamo music cruise, Miller asked her to play the song she played that day called “The Book.”

Miller and Morris were sharing stories somewhere out in the Atlantic on a special Cayamo taping of the Buddy & Jim Show on SiriusXM radio.

“My informant Kate York says you’re breaking all kinds of records,” Miller said of news of Morris receiving the most radio adds for a female artist.

Just then co-host Jim Lauderdale joined in. “My source says it’s one of the most added records in Billboard history.”

Maren Morris’ Debut Music Video ‘My Church’ Out Now

Columbia Nashville singer/songwriter Maren Morris’ music video for her debut single “My Church” is available for fans to view now. Over the weekend CMTexclusively aired the world premiere of the first-ever music video from the artist NPR Music describes as having “the swagger and the style of a young Bonnie Raitt.” The Rachel McDonald directed video was shot on the outskirts of Austin in Morris’ home state of Texas.
